Our materials
Recycled Polyester
Recycled Polyester (rPET) gives us the possibility to create lightweight designs that dry quickly. While working with it, we avoid using petroleum, which is a raw and nonrenewable source of material. Most of rPET comes from recycled plastic bottles, which means we are turning waste into new products — while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and water usage for manufacturing.
For the Spring 2021 season, 88% of our polyester fabrics are made with recycled polyester. As a result, we reduced our CO2 emissions by 14% compared to virgin polyester fabrics.
Nylon is one of the strongest synthetic materials we use in our products. When we need a super lightweight fabric, we use it as it is vital for the type of functions we want. Incorporating as much recycled nylon as we can lessen our dependence on virgin petroleum, helps eliminate discarded material, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing. It also promotes new recycling streams for nylon products that are no longer functional.
100% of the Nylon fabrics we use are made with Recycled Nylon.

Recycled EVA
Recycled EVA is a lightweight, water-friendly material — which makes it ideal for the type of products we want to offer. EVA plastic waste is transformed into a soft, flexible plastic sheet for accessories or packaging when reused. Depending on availability, the source of the material can come from either post-industrial or post consumer production.
With our partners’ support, we are working to increase the percentage of recycled EVA we use in our outsoles.
Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton requires less water for its whole production, and it does not require the use of pesticides or toxic chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers. This procedure helps promote soil
health, and in the meantime helps to tackle climate change.
