Beach Coast to coast Kayaking

Palma de Mallorca still has some amazing spots that remain almost unknown. This itinerary travels through some of these not so well-known places. Get ready for amazing sunsets and fantastic beaches.

The best ensaimadas in the world come from Mallorca, so don’t miss out!
If you are using plastic, please don’t leave anything on the beach, or in the beach trash bins because it ends up in the sea due to the wind.
Rent a kayak or jet ski at least once during your getaway.

DAY 1

Cala Banyalbufar beach

Cala Banyalbufar

Get up early and go to Cala Banyalbufar (some people call it Cala Estellencs). It’s a hidden cove that is usually quite empty. If you’re going to this beautiful place, don’t forget your snorkel as there are a thousand hidden nooks and crannies to explore. It even features a mini waterfall that you can use as a shower.

Cala Deia Beach

Cala Deià

"The next stop is Cala Deià. You are sure to love this lesser-known cove, partly because there aren’t so many people there! For a good picnic, there is a beachside bar in the cove where you can eat very well at a regular price. We recommend the paella! If you have sensitive feet, wear water shoes (Tropicfeel never lets you down! :P), since the ground is rocky and it may be hard for you to reach the water. We recommend snorkeling at this beach – the seabed is beautiful!

Sunset Sa Forada

Sunset in Sa Foradada

End the day by watching the sunset in Sa Foradada. A place that, owing to its beauty, is becoming increasingly popular. From there you can see the best sunset in all of Mallorca! Make sure to arrive sooner rather than later, as there are usually lots of people and if you arrive just before the sunset, you may not find a good place to watch it! I promise you, it’s really worth it!

DAY 2

Caló des Moro Beach

Caló des Moro

Today, jump in the car early and set off for southern Mallorca. The first stop is Caló des Moro! This amazing cove has crystal-clear waters. It will astound you! Take your snorkel and a camera with you – you’re going to flip out over the photos you take! If you want to take a great photo, instead of going down to the beach, turn left so you can take a photo with views of Caló des Moro!

Cala s’Almunia

Cala s’Almunia

Next to Caló des Moro, you will find Cala s’Almunia. It is a cove that tends to be quieter and it’s a great swimming spot. There are also some rocks you can jump off, if you want to have a go. It is a beautiful cove that is very typical of the Mediterranean landscape. I recommend you take your time to explore alongside the coves, as you are sure to find some great photo opportunities! In the middle of the cove there is a very cool diving spot, don’t miss it! It is also a great snorkeling spot, where you will see thousands of fish.

Muro Beach Mallorca

Playa de Muro

For a nearby spot to eat and recharge your batteries, continue the day by heading to Es Trenc or Playa de Muro. Here, you have two options! Both are idyllic beaches with endless white sand and crystal-clear waters. I recommend you bring some water! The path from the car to the beach is quite long and you don’t want to dehydrate in the summer heat! It’s a beautiful spot for watching the sunset on the beach.

DAY 3

Cala Llamp

Cala Llamp

In the morning, head to Cala Llamp for some diving. This rocky cove is a great diving spot with incredible waters. There are lots of rocks for you to explore and, if you like to dive into the water, there are also several great diving spots. The best ones are at the end of the cove! The locals call it La Herradura so, if you can’t find it, don’t hesitate to ask!

Eat at the Beach Club Gran Folies

Eat at the Beach Club Gran Folies

If you fancy a bite to eat, here you will find the Beach Club Gran Folies, where you can eat or have a drink with unbeatable views. Top tip: The Beach Club has a pool in the middle of the beach where you are welcome to swim, even if you are not a Beach Club guest.

Sunset at Puerto de Andratx

Sunset at Puerto de Andratx

To end the day, there is nothing better than watching the sunset while enjoying a drink at the Andratx port! I recommend a cocktail at Tim’s bar! YOU WILL LOVE THE INCREDIBLE SUNSET HERE. If Tim’s is full, you can go to Mitj & Mitj or Romeo’s. Both are great, and you will undoubtedly enjoy a very special evening!

Before you travel

  • This is a whistle-stop trip that takes you to various places on the island. I recommend that you stay in the center of Palma or in the Calviá area. The itinerary is broken down into zones, so you won’t spend too long in the car.
  • Be careful when driving! There are a lot of tourists who drive very poorly, so try not to become distracted.
  • If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, get something from the supermarket on the beach and, for dinner, take advantage of the weather and eat outside.
